Here is Aaron's story:

Back in October I was at a wedding and was talking to some friends of mine about fitness/weight loss. I had lost a total of 15 pounds so far but had a ways to go. They then told me about this guy that was gaining weight to show people how to get rid of it.  I looked it up and then filed it away. I said "well he's still in the fit2fat stage. I know how to do that."  I had gone from 135 to 220 after high school.

 

At the start of my journey I would eat healthy choice meals for lunch and thought that I would be good just changing that one part of my diet. I was really clueless as to how I really needed to eat and what I needed to do to get where I wanted to be. I remembered about Fit2Fat2Fit and realized that you were on your way back down. I then decided to give it a try. One week was all it took. I had energy and was already seeing results. Plus, it tasted good!!

 

One day in February I decided to step up the pace and sign up for a 4 mile race on St Patricks day. Well, I finished, that is all that mattered. I have now done one more 4 mile and a handful of 5k's. I have switched to the fitness team (phone support) at work and will compete in another race tomorrow. I owe a huge debt to Lynn and Drew for showing me what I needed to do. And now that I have read the book I know what I need to do to lose my "last 15". I still look at the scale everyday but don't really care that much about the number because I know that no number can tell me how I feel. One piece of advice I got from someone that helped was this: "imagine what you can do in six months, now imagine you'd started 6 months ago..." that was a true inspiration to me.
