Amazing #TeamDrew Transformation

JOHN SMITH  FROM CINCINNATI, OHIO:

Here's a few words from John and his experience so far on his journey back to fit:

"I started my journey on November 6, 2011 at 220.3 lbs.  As of March 10, 2012, I have lost 25.3 pounds and weighed in at 195 pounds.  I have lost a total of 15 inches.  I’m now half way to my goal weight of 170.

Even though my numbers may not seem phenomenal to some, I would also like to point out that my attitude and commitment to a healthy lifestyle has changed tremendously, and I represent the adage that “slow and steady wins the race!”

It’s important that we realize that each of our journeys is unique and that our results will vary. My advice is to celebrate your own success (encourage and inspire others too) but don’t beat yourself up because you didn’t lose as much as someone else.

Rather than comparing yourself to others – just do your best every day, commit to the healthy lifestyle and you will see the results!  Another bit of advice is to keep a food journal, drink lots of water, write down your goals, and tell others about your journey – and anything else you can think of to do that will make yourself more accountable.

I also have not been sick (even though I worked with a lot of folks who were) since I joined #TeamDrew on this journey.  I have much more energy, and I’m also feeling more confident.  My wife and kids tell me they see a new me, and others are noticing my progress.  I will be turning 49 on March 13th, and I know now that when I turn 50 next year, that I will be healthier than when I was 25 – Yes!  I can’t wait because I feel better every day!

It’s also a great feeling when your clothes get so loose and baggy that you can’t wear them anymore.  But get rid of them (donate to a charity) as soon as you transition to a new size – don’t give yourself an option to go back!

Finally, I would like to sincerely thank Drew and Lynn Manning for their tireless efforts and for their compassion and commitment to getting everyone healthy!  Their labor and sacrifices has truly been beneficial in helping me (and us all) to make the necessary healthy lifestyle changes and now be on the road to good health!

Stay strong everyone and Go #TeamDrew!!!"
