Being diagnosed with PCOS at 15, I didn’t know the challenges ahead of me. After 20 years of struggling, trying every diet and trick imaginable, I finally found the solution.

On January 2, 2018 I started my adventure of the Keto Lifestyle. I had seen Drew on Dr. Oz and thought, “Wow, I wonder if that could work for me…. Doubtful.” Fast forward a few months later and my sister convinced me that we should try it. We both have PCOS, Reverse T3 and T4 hypothyroidism. I have the added fun of no gallbladder, which made me nervous. My worries were quickly calmed.

Keto has been life changing for me. It is not a diet; it is a lifestyle. I don’t even have to think about it! It has become second nature… 75% fat/20% protein/5% fat. Something so simple has changed everything. My acanthosis nigricans have almost disappeared, PCOS is under control, my thyroid is working. 2018 is the year I get to take my life back from what became a life sentence at 15. I make new goals and challenges every day and am excited to make progress!
