You may remember when I gave you guys the recipe for my Bulletproof Coffee awhile back. I love starting my day with a nice cup of coffee BUT I totally get that a lot of you don’t drink coffee or even tea. So, I decided to put together an alternative recipe for you guys…
Bulletproof Hot Cocoa!
Now this, is a GREAT drink! Super easy to make, doesn’t take much time at all. And it’s perfect on both cold and hot days. I love it, my girls love it, and I guarantee you will too!
Go grab your favorite mug and get ready to make yourself a super tasty, chocolaty treat!
- 12 oz. of unsweetened Almond milk (You can use unsweetened coconut or almond milk too if you prefer OR even just water!)
- 1 tbsp. cocoa powder (I use Organic Cacao powder but you could use any brand you’d like)
- 1 tbsp. grass-fed butter (if you don’t do dairy, you can substitute this for ghee OR just double up on the next ingredient!)
- 1 tbsp. coconut oil
- 5-7 drops of a sweetener of your choice (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS! A lot of sweeteners can impact your blood ketone levels while you’re doing Ketosis. I prefer to use liquid stevia, or Lakanto Monkfruit. Even erythritol)
After you have all the ingredients in your mug, pop it in the microwave for a minute to melt the ingredients.
Once it’s all melted, I prefer to add mine to my BlendTech Stealth blender just to really mix those ingredients up and make it nice and frothy. I blend it for about 20-30 seconds and the end results is a nice creamy, frothy cup of alternative hot cocoa!
And there you go! A nice alternative drink for those of you who don’t do coffee or tea. It has less caffeine and a really sweet kick!
