Here is Jim's story:
My journey from Fit2Fat2Fit began 11 years ago when I underwent spinal fusion surgery. Before surgery, I was 185lbs and had no problems staying in shape. After surgery, I was afraid to exercise and my weight got out of control but I could always justify my lack of activity because of my back (I was just happy I could still walk).
In September of last year, I went to the doctor for a routine checkup and my weight had ballooned to 265lbs, my blood pressure was 155/110, my cholesterol was high and I was pre-diabetic. My doctor wrote the routine prescription for high blood pressure meds and said I may have to take them for the rest of my life. I am not a fan of taking prescriptions and hated the thought of being tied down to pills for the rest of my life so I decided to find an exercise/weight loss program and came upon your website. You were not quite done with the “fat” phase of your journey and your mountain dew/cinnamon toast crunch addiction was right up my alley and I dedicated myself to following the program.
After six short months of following your program, I weigh 195lbs, my blood pressure is 110/75, my cholesterol numbers are normal, and I am no longer pre-diabetic. Drew I can’t thank you enough for giving me the motivation to get the weight off and more importantly teaching me and my family how to live a healthy lifestyle. I realize the sacrifice that you made using your own body and you should be commended for taking the risks to your health. Most important…my kids thank you because Dad is much more active during playtime than he used to be.
