Week 1 - Goodbye six pack :(
Well, it's already been 1 week into my "fat" journey and you can already tell a difference. My obliques aren't nearly as shredded as they were in my beginning picture and my abs are already almost gone. :( I'm 100% committed to this journey and know I will get back there eventually. It's been a tough transition so far. I've never really drank non-diet soda before and I've hardly ever gone out to fast food places, but it does seem to be easier/more convenient then eating healthy. With that being said, it does come with it's price. I definitely feel more sluggish and tired most of the time. My hunger pains are so much more intense when eating these high-sugary, processed carbs all day compared to my healthy low-carb lifestyle. It's almost painful at times, so I can understand how people give in to those kinds of hunger pains and stuff their face with whatever is closest or more convenient.
As you all can see from my pics, I weighed in at 205 this morning. That's a 12 lb. increase in 1 week and I've had a lot of people shocked by that, but it makes perfect sense to me. I went from one extreme (healthy), to the other extreme (unhealthy) overnight. I'm not too shocked by this number. I'm sure from here on out, I'll be able to pace it a little bit more as my body starts to become more familiar with my new eating habits. Plus when you account for my muscle mass, which I haven't lost yet (but I eventually will), it will become harder to gain weight since muscle weighs more than fat.
